A truly beautiful range of water-soluble, artist's quality, oil colours. As you'd expect from Daniel Smith colours a small amount goes a very long way so they are excellent value for money. Each tube provides clean, pure pigment in a concentrated load with a modified linseed oil base making it possible to dilute the paint & wash your brushes out in water rather than a solvent. We have provided these as a sample to some of our professional oil colour artists and they genuinely could not tell the difference between them and normal artist's oils with respect to performance, feel & finish.
To retain the water mixable properties they should only be mixed with modified water mixable oils & mediums - they can be mixed with normal oils, oil colours and mediums but they will lose their water-solubility when you do so (there is a very small percentage which retains the same properties but it is hard to judge this when working!).
