Adigraf Oil Block Printing Medium 225ml
This product replaces the Georgian Oil Block Printing Medium which has been discontinued.
On its own, oil painting colour is unsuitable for block printing. However, mixing an oil paint with Adigraf Oil Block Printing Medium creates an oil-based ink that can be block printed in the traditional way.
For solid colours blend 3 parts Adigraf Medium with 2 parts oil paint. For more transparent colour - perhaps for overprints - increase the proportion of Adigraf medium.
As oil-based inks take longer to dry than water-based inks, prints should be allowed to dry overnight before any further treatment (including overprints).
