Carborundum Powder (silicon carbide) is used in a collagraph printmaking techniques. Carborundum grit is applied in a paste to the surface of the plate to create areas of dark colour and embossed .
Can be rubbed dry onto the plate surface to great grain or put through an etching press to indent the surface.
