A decent quality student grade gesso primer - ideal for experimenting with mixed media and waterbased texture techniques, or for priming surfaces for use with oils and acrylics. For maximum absorption/adhesion on porous surfaces such as canvas or wood dilute the first coat with water and apply subsequent coats neat to create a matt white surface with a slight tooth.
