Light weight 90lb watercolour papers are useful for sketching, dry mediums, pen and ink but will cockle/distort with any volume of wet colour.

Bockingford is a cylinder mould machine made paper from St Cuthberts Mill in Wells, Somerset. It is a good quality paper perfect for starting out with watercolours as it will peform well without breaking the bank. This is a very forgiving watercolour paper valued by amateur artists & some professionals around the world. NOT surface is slightly textured (HP is smoothest, and Rough is more textured).
